I always loved Halloween as a kid and now that I have a little girl to dress up, it just reminds me of all those great past Halloween celebrations. This year I'm really excited about going to the pumpkin patch, baking delicious treats, taking Claire trick or treating and of course stealing a good portion of her stash. Don't judge me, she's only 2 1/2 and doesn't need all of that candy. So you see, really I'm just being a good mom and besides... I am 8 months pregnant so just try and stand in my way :) Today I went to the bead store to grab a couple of supplies and I found the silliest beads yet. Yes, multicolored skulls were purchased even though strangely they weren't on my shopping list. I thought they would be so fun if I dressed them up with a little bit of sparkle and dangle.
They are a bit weird, but I think that's why I think they are great for the holiday. I like that they are creepy without being too goth.
So here they are girls, check them out! I'm thinking of selling them on my etsy site if they go over well.

Shrinky Dink Key Chains!
Hello Everyone,
This is my first posting on this craft blog and I'm really excited to get started. My name is Galit and I have a passion for making jewelery. More specifically I love working with beads. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by a great group of gal pals that also love to craft as well. I hope to devote most of this site to my various projects as well as featuring some of my very talented friends. I am also a pretty remedial sew-er, so I might end up posting some projects that work out and some that don't.
For this first posting I wanted to share a recent project I worked on with some of my mommy friends. My dear friend Kari did the most darling shrinky dink hand prints of her two little boys and put them on a key chain. I thought it would be great fun to add some beaded charms to them.
We thought they would be a great holiday stocking stuffer for the grandmas as well. We decided to have a playdate where we invited some of the kiddos and mommys over to make them. I let them design the charms themselves they turned out to be just to cute. They were so darling that many of them wanted to keep them for themselves.
Now we have mommy night planned and I went crazy designing them myself. Here are some of the ones I created (without the shrinky dinks)...
I was thinking they would also be darling as diaper bag and purse charms. If all goes well I plan on making more and selling them on my Etsy shop. Stay tuned!
